It would make sense if prices matched expectations, but Market Basket is both cheaper and a better experience start to finish. Shop here if you need something in Newport and can't get it at Ocean State, otherwise go to Claremont.
The only gig in town. Pricey. They need some competition. I miss Violette's. It kept them competitive. Day shift ladies are cliquey.
This grocery store is the least stocked and least maintained out of all the other stores I frequent in a 1 hour radius. Produce is limited to begin with and often not fully stocked. Many of the aisles feel 1/2 as long as other regional Shaw's stores. I have never seen more than 3 aisles open for checkout.
I regularly visit 2 Shaw's locations: Hillsboro and Newport. I try to avoid them and shop at Market Basket or Hannaford when possible, but depending on my commute its often easier to stop here.
Expensive Groceries! The only thing I liked is the floral section, nice selection for grocery store & Inexpensive...But I do suggest using a local Flower Shop.
Good store but produce is hit or miss and definately gotta watch sales. Prices can be pricey otherwise
Never a good deal at this place, often find sale items to get you to the store however don't shop early Friday your not going get them don't think they restock the deals after the first day. Produce is poor quality and high price. Use this as a Convenience store only.... Sorry Newport this is the best we have
