This is not a helpful office, nor is Dr. "Dee" a talented practitioner. She is sloppy and amateurish. Maybe the fact that she has not practiced in some years -- she has been a medical administrator in VT prisons -- accounts for her lack of professionalism. Her memory seems poor from visit to visit; we had to start again with my explaining key things in my health record, things I had spoken of in detail a few weeks earlier. She attempted to prescribe medication -- opioids ! oxycontin!-- that I had said emphatically had a bad effect on me. Had she not looked at my chart? Hard to tell. She also sent me off without the key prescription I came for. When I tried to get it at the checkout desk the nurses were unhelpful. I waited and waited but no one could help me; no one would knock on the doctor's door to ask. This was amazing. I am elderly and in pain. Is this a way to treat a patient? . Later Dr. "Dee" called me at home and began to blame me for the situation with the nurses -- even though she was not even present at the time. And the situation was in fact her fault. She is quick to blame the patient when issues arise that in fact are the doctor's responsibility. She refused to speak to me on the phone in a helpful or personable way; she kept saying "I guess you won't be coming back here." when I had not at all said that. I was trying to work things out when she fired me. She was shrill, with a fixed rap she was putting forth. Unfortunately there are not many doctor alternatives -- I had waited months to be set up with her. Best to steer clear of Dr "Dee" and her way of operating. Unfortunately she remains my doctor at present.
