We just returned from a great peaceful camping experience at Crow's Nest. The owners are awesome, and the site, bathrooms, pool, playground are all very clean.
Our family had so much fun! There is lots for the kids to do - fishing, biking, swimming, crafts, mini golf. It was a Halloween themed weekend and there was a site decoration contest plus trick or treating for the kiddos. We'll definitely be back.
Nice people, sites were a good size and wooded, which is what we like. We were on the sugar river, loved it, easy access to wade around in. The only thing I didn't like was the bathroom by the river sites, maybe a upgrade to a non-out-house style.
Not what it looks like from the road! Beautiful spots in the woods! Classic camping. Close to the Sugar River. Would definitely recommend.
Quiet time appears to be strictly enforced, much to our pleasure. There were a lot of families with kids, extended families had 2-3 campsites to accommodate a larger crowd which was nice, and before 10PM all the noises of the day started winding down. We stayed in a tent site down the hill. Some of the sites are close to each other, but not on top of each other IMHO. The small beach and big rock on the Sugar River is a cool place to hang out. We will certainly be back!
We stayed for a week in August 2017. The campground is beautiful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed right on the river, I don't remember having a better site in our 35 years of camping. We will not hesitate to camp here again.
